Things I wish I knew before I tried it

Climbing into our room turned into an evening circus act, as there’s no lift for heavy luggage. Though the heating warmed my toes, it caused sleepless nights while the air conditioning straight up refused to cool down. Imagine being hot and bothered with no breakfast in sight and no apology in earshot. Not quite the escape we hoped for.

Cozy and charming stay!

Just spent a night here and it was super cozy! The staff was incredibly friendly, even helped us print tickets. The room? Clean and quiet, perfect after a hot day out. Only thing, no air conditioning, but we survived. Breakfast was nice too. All in all, a good experience!

The location was pleasant, away from the tourist crowd, yet a short walk to key sites. Unfortunately, the room was outdated and cramped, and the lack of air conditioning during the heat added to the discomfort.

It was just a perfect match for a short stayover in Venice with excellent value for money. The staff were available 24/7, which was a huge relief when we needed assistance late at night. Make sure to check for breakfast options ahead of time, as it wasn't available during our stay.

Fantastic location, just a short walk from the train station and Rialto Bridge. Clean rooms, comfy beds, and a bathroom that's newly remodeled with great shower. Staff was super friendly and even let us check in early. Provided an umbrella when it was pouring. Daily cleaning service was on point, too.

The room was decent but the shower was disappointing, with low water pressure and cleanliness issues. However, I loved the location, as it was just a short walk from the train station and had a lovely pasticceria nearby for breakfast. The staff was polite, which made my stay a little more pleasant despite the room's shortcomings.

The location was fairly central, which made it easy to navigate with luggage from the train station. The staff was polite but did not meet my request for a different room with a nicer terrazzo floor, as I discovered other guests had. The aging laminate flooring in my room detracted from the otherwise charming Italian decor. However, the grilled meat served for dinner was a delightful highlight of my stay.

I adored the charming decor and welcoming atmosphere of Albergo Basilea. The soft fabrics, beautiful period design, and stunning views of the canal created a delightful and peaceful retreat, making my stay feel truly special.

Adding an elevator would greatly assist senior guests.

This place suits me perfectly with free wi-fi, air conditioning, and 24-hour reception. The staff even helped me find a phone charger during my first stay. I always look forward to my city break here!

The location was excellent, within walking distance to both the train and bus stations. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The room, while small, was well-decorated and clean, providing a comfortable atmosphere. Additionally, it was nice to have a supermarket just around the corner for convenience.

albergo basilea is in a great neighborhood, super clean and peaceful. it’s perfect for those who love to explore the city on foot. the staff is always smiling and polite, making you feel welcome. i loved walking through the charming streets and discovering local life. the bed was comfy, and i appreciated the tidy room with a private bathroom. it really added to our enjoyable stay.
